LINE
- I love coloured lines on black paper
- Also love testing colours with more lines at the side of the drawing
- I don't love deciding what to draw
- Too much going on , need to try and use even less lines? how would that turn out? how few lines can I use and still enable the viewer to recognise the subject? quality of line over quantity
MARK MAKING
- using paint to form an abstract outline of a figure, ink on top
- messy ink
-like this combination
-could be nice if more minimal, less line / messier paint application / more abstract shapes
- this technique may be fun with animals?
- more textured paint, use dry brush next time?
-spontaneous mark making
- was listening to crazy Norwegian music, maybe this helped
- I like the dashes and ink
- some look too planned
- I think making a page of marks and mess is something I could do to warm myself up and get out of darn creative ruts
TEXTURE
- I made some textures using my hair dipped in ink. Wouldn't recommend. Nightmare to get out
My hair is annoying to manage and annoying to create
But really enjoyed this task, larger scale collage is not something I've done much of before
Ran out of time so had to paint the hair, would've been better with collage spirals or spaghetti
- I might make a 'bank of textures?
