silence 2012 pat collins

When searching the library archives for stuff about silence I found this film called Silence directed by Pat Collins. It's about an Irish sound technicians journey back to Ireland after not being there for 15 years. He's doing a project about seeking out sounds free from manmade noise.
It was a slow and calming film, really beautiful shots of the wild landscape and gorgeous cinematography.

During the Persons of Note project I found it really useful to draw whilst watching a film, so thats what I decided to do here to get the work flowing and try and get some visual motifs happening.

Watching this film was one of those times when you feel nostalgic for something you've not experienced?? It made my feel at ease though (and pretty sleepy)
I liked playing around with the simple and muted colours and adding text in - something to consider.
