The process of interviewing people as the starting point for a project was a new thing for me, it was actually super beneficial, without this I wouldn't have developed my project to nearly the same level as I did. Having and recording interesting brain vomit conversations is a great way to get the old creativity flowing, will definitely continue this process in the future.
I interviewed friends and my Mum, I didn't have a specific favourite out of the words so I just asked the person to choose one/ I did it for them and just asked them to just speak whatever came to mind, stream of consciousness.
Had some interesting conversations about Japanese rituals, mash potato, Arabic, do northern and southern dogs have beef with eachother, how do you teach creativity and pagan rituals.
I asked my boyfriend what he thought about silence because he's a musician, I thought there could be some interesting thoughts there, the conversation we had about silence ended up being the starting point for the project and where I wanted to go with it.
this little chat made me have a wee existential crisis about silence and how it basically doesn't exist , but I think this is something interesting to investigate
--- how can I illustrate something which doesn't really exist
-- what does silence mean?
-- what imagery does it bring up?
-- drawing abstract concepts??
- existential crises mmm m mmm mm
should be interesting ! bit of a jump from the wonky more daft stuff ive been doing lately!
