- Despite the patronising tones of the handouts the information in them has been really useful, I guess I've never actually taken a step back and read about the 'rules' of composition and how I use it in my work, I just usually trial and error until something looks good which isn't always the best way to work.
- rules are also made to be broken, there's a strange joy in illustration that jarrs your eye and flips these rules on its head. Embrace this as well as taking the 'rules' on board
- definitely need to improve my use of composition
- was interesting to learn about things like rule of thirds and line of sight, things I vaguely knew of but never consciously considered when making work
- kodatrace is bloody hard to draw on
- analysing illustrations in this way will help me work out what I like and what works for me
