Moving Image inspiration

SUNNIVA SUNDE KROGSETH FOR GREEN MAN FESTIVAL 

The whole visual identity of Green Man Festival this year was incredible. The animations which played on the screens took the characters and motifs which adorned the whole festival and created simple movement. These little animations were really impressive but after our After Effects workshops I realise that these could have easily been created on this software with keyframes. Although much more complicated and time consuming than I'll be able to do for my 15 second sting the idea of moving elements with little new imagery needing to be created and by using clever zooming and panning is something I'll take forward to Studio Brief 3.

Although this is frame by frame animation rather than key frame animation which I'll be using in my sting, I'm really drawn to that hand of the maker quality and the visible drawn and painted textures. I want to retain the analogue, naive quality of my prints whilst animating them and avoid making things look too flat and jarring.
