Spent my afternoon doing the bookbinding workshop and it was absolutely wonderful, I didn't realise how beneficial 2.5 hours doing something practical could be, it took my mind off some bad stuff and was really relaxing and I'm feeling calm and motivated to make some books and fill those books. When I got home I started to fill one of my little books with scraps from my desk. This feels really special to me, it was just what I needed to prioritise some time to me and making something for
myself and reconnecting. feel like making a zine of all the bits and bobs and random stuff floating around my messy desk.
some of the things in that book
I especially creating the hardcover book and I think this is what I want to create as a summative one off book of my Kirkgate Market reportage investigation. It feels really tactile and special to have a handmade book
