Ideas for stories

Did some scribbles today, trying to get my head around stories and the weather.

First idea was about the wind - so I've decided to make all of my stories about the weather - Wind / Rain / Sun / Thunder. Want them to be vehicles to explaining how the weather came to be. Each to have a moral too.

Wind idea is a story about greed.
So back int day the wind was visible. The crafty witch/babushka/strange woman figure can see the wind and can grab it. She uses it as thread to sew herself beautiful dresses. But she gets greedy, she takes all the wind. No wind = no seed dispersal, no more plants, etc etc. The land got angry. She is forced to become the wind. She sits atop a cloud and blows and blows.
Something like that? Needs work but theres the bare bones

Rain idea - story about kindness.
Little old craftsman at the dawn of time. Hand crafts each raindrop - gift to the universe. The sky birds carry the raindrops up and drop them down. His kindness is repaid by the abundance of vegetables grown with the help of the rain?
Or maybe he could create the raindrops from his tears etc?
Again needs work to make sense of it

Thunder idea:
I think thunder sounds like a stampeded of horses. Horses are quite prominent in a lot of folk art, so would make sense to include them (or stranger horse like creatures) in one of my stories. Not sure what though? What could the lightening be? Horse piss? Who rides the horses or does noone? Sky cowboys? Lightening is their gunshots?
Or Thunder could be a band ?
Not sure!! but noise related!

Sun idea:
The sun is shy, doesn't want anyone to look at her. She hides behind the clouds and doesn't shine bright enough. Maybe she is given things to make her extra bright? yellow foods? who knows? but eventually she becomes so bright that nobody can actually look at her - but the sun shines. Everybody wins.
Again not sure on this one

Got quite a bit of work to do with making these into proper stories - I want them to have vivid imagery that will allow me to really indulge in making the images to accompany the words. Don't want the stories to be cringey at all though. Its harder than I thought.

I also signed up to a laser cut induction today which is happening on 12th Feb - want to make my story into 3d once I've developed it. Finding new ways to tell stories with my work. Scale and material. Tangibility. Physical things.
